Symbol Kapuas Hulu
Kapuas Hulu is one of the Region II level in the
province of West Kalimantan. Its capital is located in Putussibau which can be
reached via the Kapuas river transport as far as 846 km, by road as far as 814
km and by air reached by a small body aircraft from Pontianak via Pangsuma
Airport. Has an area of 29.842 km2 and a population of 222 160 population
census in 2010. Kapuas Hulu is divided into 23 districts, Badau, Batang Lupar,
Pengkadan, Boyan Tanjung, Bunut Hilir, Bunut Hulu, Embaloh Hilir, Embaloh Hulu,
Jongkong, Empanang, Hulu Gurung , Kalis, South Putussibau, North Putussibau,
Bika, Mentebah, Puring Kencana, Seberuang, Selimbau, Semitau, Silat Hilir,
Silat Hulu and Suhaid.

In the tourism sector, there
are so many tourist attractions that can be visited. However, the most famous
is Lake Sentarum.
Lake Sentarum
Sentarum lake is a complex of lakes consisting of 20 large and small lakes.
This lake has an area of 132,000 hectares. Located 700 km northeast of the city
of Pontianak, Sentarum Lake consists of 89,000 hectares of forest and 43,000
hectares of inundated swamp land. In the long dry season, most of the lake was
dry.
In the rainy season flooded by trillions of cubic meters
of water.
In the dry season into a stretch of dry and sometimes
overgrown with grass like golf courses.

Sentarum is one type of ecosystem expanse of the most extensive floods are rare
and remain in good condition in Indonesia, even in Southeast Asia. In this area

only the lake Sentarum in the sense not found other parts of the world.

In the culinary sector also there are many different
kinds of culinary in Kapuas Hulu. One of the most well-known and much-loved is
"Crackers Wet" or local people usually call it "Temet".
Snacks made from fish is
very easily found in every corner of Putussibau. There are two variants
featured flavor of soggy crackers, fish Belidak and fish Toman. Snacks in a
little flour if the mixture is steamed first and most enjoyable while still hot.
Taste chewy, spicy, sweet
and the aroma of fish chime when his mouth started to chew. The price offered
is quite affordable. For one rod or a portion ranges from Rp 10,000 to Rp
